A single genuine aquamarine gemstone has been wire wrapped in sterling silver and sways from a delicate sterling silver chain. The chain is adorned with six faceted sterling silver beads, and finished at the ends with two additional sterling silver beads and a sterling silver spring-ring clasp.

The sterling silver was oxidized (antiqued) to a deep charcoal finish, then hand brushed and polished to bring out the silver highlights. This gives an organic finish with depth.

The aquamarine is a variety known as "moss aquamarine", with natural inclusions of iron within them, giving it a moss-like appearance. The color of the genuine moss aquamarine is a soft pale seafoam blue green. The gem is cut in a "pear" briolette shape, and faceted for light reflection and eye-catching sparkle.

Aquamarine is the birthstone for the month of March.
